Born and raised in southern West Virginia, Rev. Dr. Robert Shirley Love found his deep connection to our mountains and our people from birth and never let it go. Whether it was hunting in the hollers, rafting on the rivers, yelling Let's GOOO Mountaineers or staring at the stars from Almost Heaven, there's never been a doubt that this is home and our Appalachian spirit seeded deep in his soul. While he journeyed for education and career, he has been blessed to be able to come home and raise his family here, safe and secure in our traditions and way of life. As a serial small business entrepreneur, doctor, minister, coach and community leader, Robert knows the challenges we face and is committed to finding and creating lasting solutions, not just for our wellbeing, but for our children and their children as well. Leading and serving our people and our state is more than a choice, it is a sacred calling, and he is answering the call.
